Questions
- Does CostHex need write access?
- No. Monitoring uses read-only access. Write access is only needed if you turn on one-click fixes for a specific resource on Pro.
- Will CostHex take my site down?
- Not unless you ask it to. By default an alert links you to the resource and you decide whether to rate-limit, pause or ride it out.
- How fast will I hear about a spike?
- Within a few minutes of the platform reporting it. Platforms delay usage data by different amounts, and we publish the delay for each one.
- Where do my credentials live?
- Each one is encrypted with its own key and never shown again, not even to you. Where a platform supports it, we use a role you grant instead of a stored key.
